my friend and i discussed some stuff in the library and we came up with an agreement that a prophet is just like another human being except tt he is sent by God to lead man and to teach them their religion. as such, the status of any prophet shouldnt be raised to tt of God's and neither should it be dropped as low as possible. thus, a prophet can never be God, vice versa. logical? yes.

anyway, there many prophets who were sent down to various tribes. However, only 25 are stated in the Holy Quran that muslims of all ages should know. they are:
